I know that you can't actually change your Taken Name after you've taken it...
Actually, can you? I don't think it ever said you can't...
Anyway, I've change from Zathract Mist to Zathract Darkshade. It was going to be Nightshade, which I still think sounds better, but I saw someone on the Facebook pages with the last name of Nightshade, so I went with Darkshade instead.
Honestly, I just stopped liking Mist a while ago. I found more than one profile from earlier generations with the last name of Mist, and then there's Madame Mist as well, which I loathe having a connection to.
Also, I feel that 'Darkshade' compliments 'Zathract' a lot more. It makes Zathract sound more sinister. Kind of.
And no, this isn't some stage I'm going through. Like when I used Zathract "Rain" Mist. Nope, I'm planning on using this for a while (permanently).
Anyway, that's done with now. For any stories I'm already in, feel free to continue referring to me as Zathract Mist, and if anyone starts a new story with me in it, you can choose. I don't really mind.
Nix and Mist will go ahead with the character as Zathract Mist. Same with all the other stories I do. I just like Darkshade as a Taken Name better.
Yeah.
Ok wow. I always liked Mist, but that's cool.
ReplyDeleteDarkshade sounds pretty awesome.
I looked in the first book and it says the taken name should be something you're not going to regret but it doesn't specifically say you can't change it.
Zathract Darkshade... ZD, sounds like zed. No, ignore me it's perfect. Have you ever wondered if Derek Landy is a taken name? It's interesting because Derek means ruler and he is the Golden God.
I read a thing today where a lady said she wouldn't name her baby Lorelei because of the history of the name. Well excuse her.
I'm rambling on. I'll stop now.
Dude. I love Mist. It is so secretive and... misty. Your choice, I guess.
ReplyDeleteCool.
ReplyDeleteBut, you know, I'm still going to call you Mist.
Yeah, that's fine.
DeleteNightshade is actually kinda mine. It's a guy in my story, ask Flame. But you can, like.. Have it. I don't own it. And I'm not using it anymore... ALSO which name is better:
ReplyDeleteJaden Dark
Or
Dwyer Carnage
Dwyer would definitely be more... Notorious.
