A Random Poem I Had To Write For English On Travel That Somehow Incorporates...Flying...

Yes! You read the title correctly! I have written a poem!DUN DUN DUUUUUUN! Shock and horror!...Yes.Anyway. I would like some feedback, other than how horrible it is obviously, and...uh...whatever. Oh, and it's one of those weird ones that rhyme.
----

As I soar through the air, the cloud infested sky,
The wind whips past my face and sunlight blinds my eyes,
And the deformed white clouds soar right on by,
As I pile on the speed to please the provoking sky*,

As I soar through the air, the endless, dream-like world,
The blinding sun begins to set, light protesting and curled*,
And then a sadness fills my mind, knowing I must soon depart,
The amazing scene and return to the streets covered with rat*,

As I now begin my descent, parallel to the sun,
What I once thought was an endless void started showing halt*,
And then the light sunk into the ground,
And night peered in, the wind settling down*.

* Don't ask...

  2. Cool poem:)

    Um, i dunno about aussie accents, but in an english yorkshire one, rat and depart don't rhyme.

    In an english suffolk one they do, but i just thought i'd make you aware of the fact that they don't rhyme for everyone.
